What We Do

Interplan completed the design of Closeknit’s new 4,000 SF medical office in Hyattsville, MD, the first location designed under the practice’s new brand identity. The patient-centered space supports clinical performance while creating an environment that reflects the practice’s commitment to high-quality, compassionate care delivered through strong provider-patient relationships. The program includes 10 exam rooms, a point-of-care area, a lab, waiting and reception areas, and shared offices for doctors and medical staff.

The design creates a calm and welcoming environment with a clean, modern look, natural-toned finishes, contemporary lighting, and carefully selected furniture and artwork provided by Lines. At the front of the space, wood paneling and round pendants help establish a warm, recognizable identity for the new location. Artwork in each exam room features photography by a local photographer, capturing the real people of the area and helping connect the space to the surrounding community.

Durable healthcare materials are paired with warmer finishes to soften the clinical setting, while accent walls add color and support wayfinding throughout the space. Exam rooms are designed for functionality and flexibility, supporting team-based workflows while maintaining patient comfort and privacy. Integrated storage and thoughtfully arranged furnishings allow medical staff to work efficiently without compromising the patient experience. Interplan also worked closely with the project team to navigate the Prince George’s County permitting process and keep the project moving forward, resulting in a fresh, welcoming medical office that supports both patients and staff.
