What We Do

Holy Cross Hospital, a Catholic not-for-profit hospital system operated by Trinity Health, engaged Interplan to design its new outpatient medical care facility in Beltsville, Maryland. Located within the Kingdom Care Center, the 8,633 SF space was built out to support medical care for both adults and children. The clinic includes 14 exam rooms, coworking spaces, a wellness room, and a conference center, creating a functional, welcoming environment for patients, practitioners, and support staff.

Working within Trinity Health’s design standards, Interplan created a soothing healthcare environment that feels calm, comfortable, and connected to its surrounding community. A soft blue color palette, subtle nods to nature, and warm suspended and wall-mounted linear light fixtures bring a sense of ease throughout the space. Sustainably made by Lightly, the fixtures introduce a natural hardwood element while supporting the project’s overall focus on comfort, wellness, and thoughtful patient care.
