Potomac Physician Associates wanted a space that that is contemporary, colorful, and inviting. Being that they have other offices, they knew exactly what they wanted and needed so it was just a matter of creatively incorporating all of their desired elements into a floor plan that is suitable for patients.

The design incorporates natural light in the reception area, exam rooms, and staff offices. The large curved check-in desk is the main element in the reception area which has texture and color to make the space interesting. The walls have vinyl wallcovering throughout which adds color, texture, and pattern to the space. Also used were carpet tiles which allowed Interplan to create a design on the floor by mixing two carpet tile styles to create a pattern. The carpet tile also allows Potomac Physician Associates to replace just one tile if it gets spilled on or soiled. There is no wasted space in their suite – nurse stations are built-in in the hallways, closets are abundant, and there are even nooks for medical carts. The color palette is vibrant, but pleasing.
