Interplan architects used an innovative design approach to perform a complete and thorough interior and exterior renovation for this organization. The patient rooms, family lounge and nutrition center were fully redesigned and refinished along with the medical staff areas including the nurse’s station, dining, training and administrative offices. On the exterior, replacement of the existing single pane windows and aged roofing with new insulated, low-E windows and new membrane roofing ensured a quality building envelope. A chiller and generator were also replaced with new.

The new entrance canopy at the rear of the building is the most noticeable exterior feature. The design of the new canopy enhances the building’s original character while providing a functional transition from indoors to out.
